Basic Motors earned $2.4 billion in internet earnings within the three months ending in September, a giant drop brought on by the scarcity of laptop chips that has disrupted auto manufacturing all over the world.
The automaker reported Wednesday that income within the third quarter fell 25 p.c to $26.8 billion. Within the comparable interval in 2020, G.M. made $4 billion in internet earnings on $35.5 billion in income.
